Know the music you sing, and hold your own in any room.
Sharpen your ear, train your music theory skills, and build the instincts that upgrade your musicianship. Most singers carry gaps in their music theory and musicianship. You can sing beautifully and still stall when the talk turns to keys, intervals, and chords, because no one ever taught you the theory behind what you do so well by instinct. That gap is common, and it is fixable. Close it, and you gain respect, and a total command over your instrument that shows.
This course teaches music theory for singers, in the context of your own voice and the songs you actually sing. Most music theory is taught for instrumentalists and singers miss the nuances they need. When you know what note you are singing over the chord, it changes everything.

“I am an actress/singer in a small but professional theatre production. We have full-time rehearsals 5 days a week. Now after working with the Cole Vocal Method my voice is not only sounding better than ever before, it is keeping up, and is way more reliable for the first time, ever. I am no longer getting hoarse or losing my voice! I have struggled with this for my whole life! This is just amazing. Thank you!!”
— Charlotte Beerda / Actress, singer, poet
“Working with Cari is the single most influential choice I have made on my path to becoming a professional recording artist. Cari saw and believed in my potential even more than I did. She has been there to guide me while I find my sound and style as an artist. Her guidance led to my first label signing. I know if it weren’t for Cari, I would still just be dreaming of what could be. She is a friend, and a mentor, and her steadfast commitment has changed my course as an artist for the better.”
— Rainsford / Award-winning singer-songwriter
“In nearly 15 years working as a professional singer I have never received the kind of guidance and support that Cari Cole offers. My voice now a stronger instrument, I had the pleasure of testing it next to none other than the world’s most beloved tenor Andrea Bocelli, who invited me to sing alongside him at the end of his Latin American tour. I am now at a level that would’ve taken me at least 10 more years to master. Working with Cari and her method is truly an
amazing gift.”
— Cristal Marie/ Award-winning singer-songwriter
“It’s so nice to have a program that you can stick to and a guide to follow every single day. I’m finding really quick results. I played a four-hour gig two weekends ago and literally sang for four hours and was not hoarse at all after. After singing for years, that’s a first.”
— Joseph Eid / Award-winning singer-songwriter
This class is for singers with little to a basic theory background who want to go deeper. If you can find your way around a scale, singing do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do, but never learned the scales and keys in the context of your voice, as well as never connected theory to your phrasing, your timing, and the choices that shape a performance, this is for you. Leave no stone unturned in your understanding of music theory and how to apply it to your voice.
Cari Cole is a celebrity and holistic vocal coach and the founder of the Cole Vocal Method. Over 40 years she has helped upwards of 50,000 singers build or recover their voices, from Grammy winners and rock legends to independent artists across every genre. She teaches the Intensives the way she has always taught, singer-first and tied to the music you make.
Cari is on a mission of helping singers step into their full potential and transforming 1 million voices worldwide.
But tThis is built for singers with a little theory background. That means you know some basic scales and maybe a few chords. You do not need much. If you can find your way around a scale, singing do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do, you are ready. But this program is a bit intermediate in terms of singing intervals inside and outside the scale over the chord and is built for singers. You’ll leave feeling challenged even if you have studied theory.
This course runs from foundational to intermediate. You start with the language of music and move through scales, intervals, chords, rhythm, and sight-reading, all the way to singing intervals over chords. If you have a little theory, you will fill the gaps and connect it to your voice for the first time. If you have more, you will sharpen it and take it to the intermediate level as a singer.
Plan on about 20 minutes of practice a day, four days a week. There are also short written assignments, 30 minutes at most per class.
