HERE’S MY STORY — and why I want to help you...
I’m Cari Cole, Celebrity & Holistic Vocal Coach and Founder of the Cole Vocal Method and before I became a vocal coach, I was a singer just like you.
For four decades I’ve been coaching singers in New York City working with Grammy winners and contestants on American Idol + The Voice. But as a singer myself I struggled at first to keep my voice healthy. I went from singing folk songs in small cafes in Hawaii to fronting a rock band and completely losing my voice!
Once my voice was pushed to its limit, it simply couldn't keep up. I didn’t have the professional vocal training I needed to reach that next level and live my dream. To be honest, I wasn’t even sure I’d hold up for another few months. And what would that mean for my new career? Would my voice let me down? Would I have to walk away from the future I was dreaming of or destined for?
I knew if I didn't learn how to sing properly—I could risk losing my voice entirely from the wear and tear, possibly for good.
Thankfully a producer friend referred me to a vocal coach who taught me the same techniques used by opera singers. These techniques didn't turn me into an opera singer though — I just became a stronger and healthier singer. I not only got my voice back but went on to get a record deal and a standing ovation at Town Hall in New York City in front of a room of strangers and celebrities. Something that was only a dream, none of which would have been possible without learning how to use my voice correctly.
I've spent the last few decades fine-tuning thousands of singers voices worldwide to help them build strong and healthy world-class level voices in performance and on record!
Little did I know, I would fall upon the technique that rescued my voice, and later build it into a method that would go on to help thousands of singers worldwide step into their best voices, win competitions on The Voice and American Idol, and even win Grammys!

Who is this program for?
This is for the serious singer who wants a real foundation under the sound. You perform, you write, you record, and you can feel there is more voice in there than you are getting access to. It is also built for vocal coaches who want the biomechanical science behind the voice and a methodology they can teach with confidence. Every style belongs here, and so does every level of experience.
Do I need training before I start?
No. VMP Level II teaches both Level I and Level II of the method. The first three months are a complete live review of Level I, so you can start here and learn both levels together. If you want a head start, take the Vocal Freedom Circle. It covers Level I on its own and is available as self-study year-round or as VFC Live, which runs each April. Already finished the Vocal Freedom Circle? VMP Level II is your next step, and it is where that work gets reinforced and taken much further.
How is this different from other vocal training?
The ceiling most singers hit is a foundation problem, and foundation problems have solutions. Surface training treats the sound and gets you surface results. This method goes to the larynx, the vocal folds, the breath mechanism, and the resonators, which is where the limitation was formed. You also get Cari live, in the room, every month for a year. Biomechanics plus real-time access is what changes voices here.
How much time does it take?
Plan on about 20 minutes of focused practice a day, five days a week. That daily work is the engine of your results. On top of it you have your live classes each month with Cari, including masterclasses where she teaches the method and coaching calls where she works directly with voices. Everything is recorded, so a busy week never puts you behind.
How is the program delivered? Is this online?
Yes, The Vocal Mastery Program is an online program. Classes are held live on Zoom and all sessions, replays, class materials and vocal exercises are accessible on your computer, tablet, or phone.
You can join VMP from anywhere in the world with internet access.
What day of the week and time of day is class held?
The main Vocal Mastery Program is mostly on Wednesdays at 3:00 – 4:30 pm Eastern.
The additional classes for the CVM Vocal Coach Certification Program (optional) are held mainly on Mondays at 3:00 – 4:30 pm Eastern.
Replays are available for those who can’t attend live or miss a class.
What if I can't make the live class time? Will I still get value?
Yes, The Vocal Mastery Program is designed for value whether attending the live classes or not. Every masterclass, coaching call, and live session is recorded and available to you for replay. Come live whenever you can, because asking your own question in the room with Cari is where the fastest progress happens. When life gets in the way, the recording is waiting, and you can bring the question you saved to the next call.
What if I live outside the U.S.? Can I still take this program?
Yes you can! The VMP program content is 100% digital, meaning you can join VMP from anywhere in the world! All you need is internet access. We’ve had hundreds of artists all over the world in this program. All classes are held online via Zoom.
Will it work for my genre?
Yes. The method is biomechanical, so it builds the instrument and you bring the style. Pop, rock, R&B, country, worship, musical theater, jazz, and classical singers all train inside this work. Your timbre stays yours. Your sound gets stronger, freer, and far more reliable, and your artistry stays completely your own.
What will change in my voice this year?
Expect more range, more resonance, more stamina, and high notes that stop costing you something. The belt gets stronger. The bridge gets smoother. Your voice holds up across a set, a run, and a tour. Most singers feel a shift in tone within the first few weeks. The deep structural gains arrive over about six months of consistent work, and they keep compounding for the rest of the year.
What if I have already taken Vocal Freedom Circle or Singer's Gift? How is the Vocal Mastery Program different?
The Vocal Mastery Program (VMP) is the perfect next step if you have taken the Vocal Freedom Circle (VFC) or started with the Singers Gift Warmups or the Vocal Rescue Kit, or trained with Cari privately.
In VFC, you learn the foundation of the method (Cole Vocal Method™ Level I). In VMP, you reinforce Level I and master the method learning Cole Vocal Method™ Level II.
The first few months of VMP will be an overview of Level I (good if you are new to CVM) alongside brand new sequences and series to enhance the method. The new Level II exercises start in Month 4.
VMP is a great opportunity to enhance any previous training with Cari or her method.
Will this method work with my other vocal training techniques?
The Cole Vocal Method™ works beautifully alongside any other technique. Because of its foundation in vocal science and biomechanics, it will complement any other technique you are using. Singers have found it enhances their current training and vocal lessons with their teacher.

What if I have vocal issues - How will this program address that?
The Vocal Mastery Program (VMP) and the Cole Vocal Method™ is a master holistic method and complete system that addresses all the professional and technical aspects of the singing voice. The method is based in vocal health and rehabilitation preserving and protecting the voice from injury. It contains vocal therapy and rehabilitation that restore the voice from vocal issues like muscle tension dysphonia (MTD), issues like nodules and polyps and vocal issues relating to neurological issues, alongside the care of your laryngologist or ENT..
Cari will address singers with vocal issues from the start of the program giving the specific regimen for vocal issues and how to use the CVM™ to restore and rehabilitate the voice during the program. Special attention is paid to singers with vocal problems during VMP.
Will my enrollment include Voice YOUniversity membership?
Yes. Your first month of V-YOU Studio membership is billed at enrollment, and that is what secures your access to member pricing on every course you add. The following 11 months are then included in your program, so your membership runs the full program year. When the program ends, billing resumes at the same rate you started on, and we email you before that first charge. Already a Studio member? Your billing pauses when you enroll and stays paused through the end of the program.
Can I take the Vocal Mastery Program Level II inside The Academy at Voice YOUniversity?
Yes, and it is the path we recommend. The Academy is your full year of curriculum bundled at the best rate with your membership included. You get the Vocal Freedom Circle, VMP Level II, all four Intensives, a private 30-minute Vocal Analysis Session with Cari, and the Academy Lounge, where she reviews your practice through the year. You buy the Academy one year at a time.

The Vocal Mastery Program payment plans have a 14-day withdrawal policy from the start date of the program.
