Vocal Challenges – Journaling

by Cari Cole

“It’s the unexpressed,
what lies right beneath the surface
that communicates to others who we are…
not our perception of ourselves.”

Singing is communicating and YOU, the singer are a communicator.

A singer who is in touch with themselves and their own emotions can communicate freely and far more effectively.

Repressed or unexpressed emotions, needs, wants and desires will cause vocal tension and problems.

The questions to ask yourself are:
“What am I feeling right now?” and “How can I let go more?”… “How can I be more in touch with my own emotions and feelings?”

I recommend keeping a journal where you record what you’re feeling every day.

Be sure this journal is private for only you to read so you are free to express yourself unguarded.

A journal is a great way to get in touch with how you are feeling and unleash the unexpressed or repressed emotions that are keeping a lock on your throat chakra and vocal artistry.
