I’m Cari Cole, Celebrity & Holistic Vocal Coach and Founder of the Cole Vocal Method and before I became a vocal coach, I was a singer just like you
For over 3 decades I’ve been coaching singers in New York City working with Grammy winners and contestants on American Idol + The Voice. But as a singer myself I struggled at first to keep my voice healthy. I went from singing folk songs in small cafes in Hawaii to fronting a rock band and completely losing my voice!
Once my voice was pushed to its limit, it simply couldn't keep up. I didn’t have the professional vocal training I needed to reach that next level and live my dream. To be honest, I wasn’t even sure I’d hold up for another few months. And what would that mean for my new career? Would my voice let me down? Would I have to walk away from the future I was dreaming of or destined for?
I knew if I didn't learn how to sing properly—I could risk losing my voice entirely from the wear and tear, possibly for good.
Thankfully a producer friend referred me to a vocal coach who taught me the same techniques used by opera singers. These techniques didn't turn me into an opera singer though — I just became a stronger and healthier singer. I not only got my voice back but went on to get a record deal and a standing ovation at Town Hall in New York City in front of a room of strangers and celebrities. Something that was only a dream.
None of which would have been possible without learning how to use my voice correctly.
I've spent the last 38 years fine-tuning thousands of singers voices worldwide to learn exactly how to build a strong and healthy world-class level vocals in performance and on record!

Does The Cole Vocal Method™ work with all genres + vocal styles? Can I still use my own singing style or will CVM change my voice?
In short, yes! CVM™ is a holistic approach that builds the mechanics and strength of the voice without altering your natural style. Unlike other vocal approaches that merely touch the surface of the voice or manipulate the sound (what we call “window dressing”), the CVM™ gets to the real aspects of building a strong, healthy, and dynamic singing voice.

What is Bel Canto singing? How is it different from other contemporary vocal methods and approaches?
Bel Canto, translated as “beautiful singing” in Italian, is a traditional vocal technique rooted in classical singing. Our method, the Cole Vocal Method™, draws inspiration from Bel Canto but is uniquely tailored for contemporary singers. Unlike some methods that may tighten or constrict vocal range, our approach focuses on opening the voice.
The Cole Vocal Method™ emphasizes techniques such as vocal massage and other innovative practices that create more space inside the vocal instrument. By doing so, we aim to foster a dynamic and unrestricted vocal range, allowing singers to explore the full potential of their voices without limitations.

How is the Certification Program structured and delivered? Will I get access to the entire program all at once?
The Vocal Coach Certification Program (VCCP) is a LIVE online certification program held over the course of 1 year, led by CVM Founder + Celebrity Vocal Coach, Cari Cole. Throughout the program, students will receive monthly instruction in class and online as they build upon their vocal training and learning.
Once you join VCCP, you’ll receive access to your VCCP Members Portal, Bonus Materials, and the Private Slack Community Channel. All classes are held online on Zoom and are recorded and posted in membership for replay anytime. Each Class is accompanied by slides, worksheets, exercises and instructions.
As you move throughout the program, you will receive additional training and materials inside your VCCP portal to accelerate your learning. All materials are downloadable for safe keeping.
