1. Up Your Style.
People love artists who are en-vogue and have their own style. Go to your local vintage store and grab something unique (might want to get it tailored for a personalized one-of-a-kind touch) or look for a new hat (maybe something red?) Maybe you’re ready to sport a new hair color? Natural henna’s are cheap and DIY.
2. Uplevel Your Photo.
A great photo is an instant brand facelift. Who says it has to be expensive? Look for a local up and coming photographer to help you out. If ya wanna go pro, New York and LA photographer Jeff Fasano has an Indie Artist Shoot for around 500 bucks. He shoots some big wigs and is the real deal. He’ll help you brand your look too.
3. Brand One Photo On All Platforms.
You may know this already but are you doing it? If not, you’re losing fans as we speak. The quickest way to improve your brand is to use one photo across all platforms. Instant brand recognition. Costs nothing, just your labor.
4. Look for local Pitch-a-thons.
Places where you can pitch your music to professionals and make those connections. NYC’ers check out http://www.sponyonline.com/. Out of towners connect with your local PRO for suggestions for where to pitch your songs. Connections make the sweetest things happen for your b(r)and!
Don’t forget – the fastest way to grow your career is to get some help. Stop spinning your wheels on your own and take advantage of those with the experience to get you there faster and better.
