Let me tell you a story — A week before Christmas I was invited to one of my favorite student’s (they are ALL my favorites – truly ;)) home for dinner. This particular student I’ve known over the past two years – we’ve watched each other grow and develop — so we have some wonderful history together. At the end of a wonderfully long Italian Christmas dinner made by her mother Tina, I was asked if I wanted to join in the Italian espresso after dinner. I don’t drink coffee, so I was ready to re-nig, when her dad, who also drinks herbal tea like me – mentioned that he drinks Oregano tea and did I know about it…
I was so excited to find a NEW tea that I don’t usually use – and lo and behold it is particularly beneficial in cold and flu season so I wanted to tell you about it.
How to Make Oregano Tea
- Take 2-3 tsp. of the FRESH herb and steep it in a cup of water.
- Some of the leaves may stay in the cup once you drain it – but hey – it’s only herbs and it’s GOOD for you.
- Add some honey or agave nectar for a little sweetening.
- Enjoy
Deeee-licious!
