Are you ready for transformation? To get on track to your true north?
Do you get up every morning supercharged for the day or are you in constant overwhelm?
Do you tackle things head on and still feel like you don’t get to where you are going? (Totally relate to that one.)
Or do you find that you hold yourself back – afraid to give it all you’ve got? The-old-afraid-of-success thing? Or simply not know where to go or how to do it?
And if that all sounds way too familiar to you – there’s answers, solutions – ways to get you moving and on course!! But — they’re not going to necessarily come easy — but does anything worth something come easy? I say “nay”. Anything worthwhile I have created – anything that has been successful, had a visionary stage, a planning stage and an implementing stage – lots of work and discipline – but all worth it. But that’s another story for another day.
For now, I want to you to focus on the internal belief – your inner view – where if your desire and your belief are off kilter, you will never manifest your dreams.
There is a BIG secret I’ve discovered about this recently — and it’s fully loaded.
Are you ready?
Here it is:
The world doesn’t owe you anything — but you owe yourself everything.
I don’t know about you – but just the very sound of that statement makes me utter a sigh of relief. It’s a radical shift FROM the I-deserve-it energy sucking neediness that a lot of us artists fall into — TO the I-owe-it-to-myself-to-give-it-all-I’ve-got energy giver!
And Voila – instantly the energy shifts from blame and shame, to getting in the game.
The truth is, it’s not instantaneous, but when I was able to embrace that statement, my whole world shifted. I not only was more productive and successful, but I had my energy back!! You see, it takes a whole lot of energy to put the blame elsewhere – it’s a lot of time you spend being internally angry or blameful of others who are often long out of the picture. And for those of you that hold grudges – and legitimate ones – I’m totally with you there. I completely understand. I’ve had my own fair share of that for sure – BUT — when you release the blame by asking the hard questions and stopping the finger pointing, the benefit is you get YOU back into action and that to me is everything.
So for now — I just want you to let this –The-world-doesn’t-owe-you-anything–but-you-owe-yourself- everything thought roll around your brain for a few weeks, months – let it wash over you and into you and see what comes. I promise – movement and clarity will come if you keep letting go…
That said — I want to inspire you by sharing a story of a singer-songwriter in Canada who is creating her own success in music – and – she’s in her 40’s – so no excuses, people! Her name is Helen Austin – and her story is so inspiring to me. I hope it changes what you see as possible for yourself and how success can be yours, too. It’s all about determination, a strong work ethic – a vision and a strategy!! And can I say — most importantly — building relationships and “following up”. For one year, Helen wrote, produced and uploaded a new song every week to her website as a free download. Thirteen of those songs were remixed and mastered and released as her CD ‘Song of the Week‘. The entire, original Song of the Week project is still available here. Helen’s new album, Treehouse, is out now and her daughter created a fun animated video for the title track.
Let yourself be inspired by those who are out there paving the way so that you too can bring your magic to the world!
